Planes 3 was a planned second sequel of Planes. It was first thought to be in the works after Carlos Alazraqui mentioned in March 2013 that the series will be a trilogy.[1] It was later said by a Disney staff member to TAG Blog in October 2013 that the film is in the works.[2] The film's plot was about the future of aviation of outer space. The film was set to be released on April 12, 2019. However, on March 1, 2018, the film was removed from the release schedule due to the closure of DisneyToon Studios.
